Kevin Levell

I graduated with a degree in Industrial Design from Loughborough University in 1995. It taught me that I wanted my eventual career to be more fun.

I got a job designing promotional toys and for the most part it was great, just not quite what I had hoped for...

After twelve years I decided that I needed to give my dream of being an illustrator a chance.

In June ’07 I reduced my hours by a day a week, and in Feb ’08 I took voluntary redundancy...

My Work

I love good stories. Weird and wonderful worlds filled with a fecundity of nature and beings of all kinds. Without imagination there can be no images.

Generally I work digitally as I find this a quicker and more flexible way of working. I am, however, equally happy using traditional media - pencil, ink, paint or pixel, it doesn’t matter to me I just love drawing.
